This was a project I've wanted to do for a while. It's very heavily inspired by Dark Souls and bloodborne, and I did my best to try to replicate their level design practices as if this were a boss arena. I modeled all of the architecture, baked models, armor pieces, the giant tree, and ground. The rocks and foliage are all from megascans. This is the first time I've used a lot of premade assets in conjunction with my own, and getting them to fit stylistically and within the same color scheme was a challenge all its own. Most of the tiling materials are from substance source (though some are heavily modified to suit this project). The ground tiling material with the rock slabs I made myself. All baked materials and grunge overlays are done by me. All of this is rendered in Unreal Engine 4, and is built for real time performance.
Overall, really happy with how this project turned out, it was great to break out of my sci fi roots and do a lot more organic sculpting and level design. I hope to combine both styles in my next piece.
